I had a Chat with Dave this morning. We came up with the perfect solution to the problem of asylum seekers. After the forthcoming war and the establishment of the Anglo-American Co-Dominion and Protectorate of Iraq, the first piece of the glorious new Anglo-American Empire for Third Millenium, set up camps for asylum seekers over there and ship them off. Please, less of the "Anglo-American", as if we were co-equal partners in this or any other post-WWII enterprise. We are lackeys, minions, henchmen, and we'd do best to remember it. The famous Special Relationship is only special in one direction.

Do you imagine that Bush is going to do *anything* for Britain in return for its help? Turkey had the right idea, asking for cash up front.

Continued access to intelligence sources not available to other allies is, I suppose, what the UK gets out of it. But even there, I suspect, the intelligence is more one way than the other. But we must those few crumbs badly!
