The Best Stories are Set on Earth
Jan. 4th, 2010 10:24 amLooking at the trailer for the new series, there don't seem to be any scenes that are obviously off-planet (or particularly futuristic). Please tell that the Moff has gone for the old "The Best Stories are Set on Earth" line (I can remember my middle brother peddling this line in the 1970s and he's about the same age as the Moff; also consider Rusty's first series - although the Doctor did get into LEO a couple of times). Given the damage to the Tardis when the Doctor regenerated, I have a nightmare that the new series is going to be him stuck on Earth, trying to repair the Tardis, while fighting "vampires".
Please tell me that this is not going to be so.
