Newtonmas

A little late, but I've got a lot of emails to check now I'm back at work.

Not sure Newton would approve. Did he celebrate Christmas at all? I suspect not.

He was a religious old bird though wasn't he? I seem to recall some god bothering statements he made being used by various Christian factions.

He was certainly religious. He spent a great deal of time searching for hidden meanings in The Bible. However, he had heterodox views (he was a unitarian), so kept quiet about the exact nature of beliefs. However, as someone who was influenced by the Puritan culture of the mid C17th, I doubt he celebrated Christmas a great deal. According to "Quicksilver", he bearly ate at anytime, which might explain why he lived to 84.
