Editing Entries

pmcrayHow the hell do I edit an old entry? Or in, more precisely, delete one?
Another thing: I've long desired putting a picture of myself on LiveJournal. As we know, there are restrictions in both the number of pixels and the overall size of the file, as well as the picture type. Now, I do have a number of pictures of myself on my hard disk, but they are all too big either in size or pixels. Does anyone know a good tool for editing the picture, ideally a standard Windows utility such as Paintbrush or Imaging? Believe me, I've tried to do this and failed (up to now).

Pics must by 100x100 JPGs or GIFs.
Irfanview is an excellent free resizing/cropping tool. It's all I use now. Used to be a fan of Paint Shop Pro but [a] it's got bloated and complex and [b] it's now eval-only.
