At Least the Pizza Was Good

Went on a date this afternoon with Helen Cardrick (Pembroke, 1988). I'm prepared to name the guilty party. A truly weird date given that it was at the bar she owns in Herne Hill (Herne Hill! Herne Hill! I had dragged myself to Herne Hill. It may think it's the new Notting Hill, but it's got a long way to go yet) and I spent more time talking to her best friend. Not exactly ideal circumstances to get to know someone. What the hell was she thinking.? I don't think I'll be seeing her again.

You will have to draw comfort from the pizza as you say. I actually broke my new-year's resolution from a number of years ago and went to Pizza Hut, though I had mitigating circumstances in that I had my current sister in law, nephew, niece and 3 of her relatives wanting lunch, and this was the only 'reasonably safe' bet in the centre of Oxford.

I have to say the pizza was much better than they were when I foreswore Pizza Hut, though not good enough for me to want to repeat the experience.
