You Will Go to the Ball!

Got back from a much-needed moochy weekend in Ipswich to find that my receipt from Arvon has finally arrived. So, I will be going on the science fiction writing course . Must write some science fiction! Well, my current project does have sf elements.

Paul came around this afternoon to Alison's who had cooked a heroic curry out the "Cooking Like Mummyji" book I bought her as pre-Christmas present (she forbids cook books as Christmas presents). Very pleasant time was had with champagne and shiraz drank. Journey back from Ipswich wasn't as bad it might have been given that I had to get a coach from Witham. I dozed most of the way on the coach.

I feel more relaxed now that I did on Friday evening (thanks, Alison!), but I suspect that next week at work is going to be a battlefield. I find it hard to express just how disappointed I am by the attitude of management about the redundancies. I am not happy. One of the criteria for a future Siemens CEO is "social awareness". Well, the Siemens UK don't seem to be showing any of that. There is a great deal of anger at work. Things are not good.
