Plucking Hell
Dec. 6th, 2003 10:56 pmHad my eyebrows done at The Refinery (http://www.the-refinery.com). Very painful. How we suffer for beauty! The pedicure was much more relaxing.
Came across Smoke, a very interesting and peculiar little magazine at Borders on Oxford Street (http://www.shink.dircon.co.uk/smoke.htm). Might be of interest to various London Bloggers.
I've often wondered why so many streets in London have been renamed. OK, I know a lot of streets have been around for hundreds of years, owned by various people, but surely there have been few changes in recent years. So why are both names on the street signs? For the benefit of London historians?
Done nearly all my Christmas shopping :)
Broke :(
